About the Artist

Dmitry Guskov

Born in Moscow, Russia, I was always interested in visual art. I began to draw with pen and pencil at school and paint with gouache and oil at University. At the same time I discovered wonderful books by Carlos Castaneda and began to explore Shamanic techniques.

At some point demanding job in computer design took over and for a few years I gave up painting and any spiritual studies. In 2000 I moved to Scotland following that career and continued to work with computers for a few years until I realized that I can not escape from myself anymore.

I returned to painting and in 2006 I became a full time artist. I also returned to my Shamanic studies and completed a few courses with The Foundation for Shamanic Studies and Sacred Trust in the UK.
